Our mission is to build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida.

Advocate for the Spina Bifida Community Today!

This week, during Teal on the Hill, the entire Spina Bifida community will have the opportunity to advocate using our easy and accessible advocacy tool. Read Donna's story and join her and the other advocates from across the country as we all advocate for the Spina Bifida community. https://www.spinabifidaassociation.org/teal.../take-action/  You can advocate twice, once for each priority:

  • Tell Congress to Increase Funding for the National Spina Bifida Program
  • Tell Congress to Include the Disability Community in COVID-19 Relief Bills

SBANT Office is Moving!

We are excited to announce that we are moving to a larger suite within the same Arlington office location.  We will still have the same address and suite number, we will just be moving a few steps down the hall.  This move will allow us to better serve our SBANT community.  If you would like to volunteer to help us move, have a strong teenager who needs volunteer hours or even have a cart or dolly, we would appreciate your help!  Stay tuned for more information and a SignUp Genius link as we wait for property management to finish cleaning and remodeling the suite.

Scholarship Program

The SBANT Scholarship Fund is administered by SBANT so that persons with Spina Bifida might achieve their full potential through the pursuit of higher education or technical school training. The Scholarship Fund offers assistance to persons born with Spina Bifida for such necessities as tuition, books, room and board and specialized equipment needs. The Scholarship Fund began in honor of Dr. Hurt and continues to be supported by the Dr. and Mrs. Hurt endowment and generous donations from our community.  The 2021 application is available on the link below.  Applications will be due April 15th.
